Description

Reproduction of Claude Monet's sailboats racing on the Seine at Argenteuil, with cream sails, orange roofed houses and rippling blue reflections.

Several sailboats with tall cream coloured sails cross the river at different angles, with small figures aboard the nearest boats. Along the far bank, orange roofed houses sit among green trees, their forms echoed in warm, broken reflections that ripple across the blue water below. Loose, confident strokes suggest quick movement across the river, the sky is a soft pale blue fading toward the horizon, and the orange roofs add warm accents against cool water. The mood is bright and breezy, capturing a clear day of sailing. The original is a painting; this is a reproduction of it.

Claude Monet was a French painter and one of the founders of Impressionism. He worked in series, returning to the same subject under changing light and season, and painted largely outdoors.

FAQ

Is this an original artwork?
No. This is a modern fine art reproduction printed on 200 gsm matte fine art paper, not an original or hand-painted work.

What size should I choose?
30x40 cm suits a shelf, a desk or a gallery wall of several small pieces. 50x70 cm is the usual choice for a single print above a bed, a sofa or a console table. 60x90 cm works as a standalone focal point on a large empty wall.

Does the print come framed?
Only if you choose a frame or canvas in the options, where they ship to your country; both arrive ready to hang. An unframed print ships without a frame, and every size matches a standard frame format, so it fits off-the-shelf frames.

How is my order printed?
Each print is made to order at the partner facility closest to you, which keeps delivery times short and shipping distances low. The product page shows where your print is made: locally in your country, or in the closest country with a partner facility.

Can I return it?
Yes. You can return a print within 14 days of delivery. A damaged or defective print is replaced free of charge if you tell us within 30 days of receiving it. Returns go to our address in Poland, and the return shipping is at your cost; a damaged or defective print does not need to be sent back.
