Description

Reproduction of Claude Monet's low tide at Pourville, a golden headland glowing above a calm beach. Warm ochre and blue tones give a quiet evening mood.

The cliffs above Pourville catch the last warm light of the day. A grassy headland with a chalky face rises on the right, small dark figures walk along the tideline at its base, and wet sand and shallow water fill the lower part of the picture, with a rowboat resting on the beach far in the distance. Warm ochre, pink and green tones on the headland meet a deep, clear blue sky that grows paler near the horizon, and long, rippling streaks of yellow and blue reflect the golden cliff in the wet sand. The mood is still and unhurried, the quiet pause of an evening low tide. The original is a painting; this is a reproduction of it.

Claude Monet (1840–1926) was a French painter and one of the founders of Impressionism. He painted largely outdoors and returned to the same subject under changing light and season.

FAQ

Is this an original artwork?
No. This is a modern fine art reproduction printed on 200 gsm matte fine art paper, not an original or hand-painted work.

What size should I choose?
30x40 cm suits a shelf, a desk or a gallery wall of several small pieces. 50x70 cm is the usual choice for a single print above a bed, a sofa or a console table. 60x90 cm works as a standalone focal point on a large empty wall.

Does the print come framed?
Only if you choose a frame or canvas in the options, where they ship to your country; both arrive ready to hang. An unframed print ships without a frame, and every size matches a standard frame format, so it fits off-the-shelf frames.

How is my order printed?
Each print is made to order at the partner facility closest to you, which keeps delivery times short and shipping distances low. The product page shows where your print is made: locally in your country, or in the closest country with a partner facility.

Can I return it?
Yes. You can return a print within 14 days of delivery. A damaged or defective print is replaced free of charge if you tell us within 30 days of receiving it. Returns go to our address in Poland, and the return shipping is at your cost; a damaged or defective print does not need to be sent back.
